Advisory Board
Introducing the Loudoun Knights Advisory Board (2026–27 Season)
Join the Team Behind the Teams
Beginning with the 2026-27 Season, the Loudoun Knights Hockey Club (LKHC) will launch an Advisory Board and we’re seeking dedicated, community-minded volunteers who want to help strengthen the club and expand opportunities for our players and families.
Applications will open following tryouts in April. Details and link will be posted on this page.
Purpose of the Advisory Board
The Advisory Board is designed to expand community engagement, support fundraising and sponsorship efforts, and strengthen our scholarship review process. This is an advisory-only body that provides recommendations and hands-on support to LKHC leadership; it does not have governing or fiduciary authority.
Key Roles and Workstreams
Advisory Board members will contribute their time and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Fundraising and Sponsorship
Help identify prospective sponsors and donors, make introductions, and support major initiatives such as our annual golf tournament, raffles, and community fundraising campaigns.
Scholarship Review
Provide objective, rubric-based review of scholarship applications to help ensure hockey remains accessible to families across our community.
Community Engagement
Promote LKHC programs through personal and professional networks, increase community awareness, and help recruit volunteers for key club events.
Scope and Commitment
- Term: 1 year (renewable)
- Role Type: Advisory—members provide recommendations and support; they do not manage operations, direct staff, or sign contracts.
- Confidentiality: Strict confidentiality is required, especially regarding scholarship applications and family financial information.
- Integrity and Conflict of Interest: Clear conflict-of-interest standards apply, particularly for scholarship review.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from Knights families, alumni, and local professionals who care about youth sports and community impact—especially those with experience in:
- Fundraising, sponsorship, or business development
- Community relations and volunteer leadership
- Nonprofit support, events, or scholarship programs
Whether you bring “boots-on-the-ground” volunteer energy, a strong local network, or both—we’d love to hear from you.
How to Apply
The application period will open following the completion of 2026-27 season tryouts in April.
